It’s December. Winter. Cold. The top of the earth is tipped as far from the sun as it can. Christmas rushes past, taking its presents and parties. Only New Year’s brief glimmer is left to light the long, dark journey to spring.
It’s a bleak, desolate time…until I remember that the winter solstice has passed. From now until June, the days will be getting longer and longer.
Though I can’t see it or feel it, light is growing in the depths of darkness.
